P.08 Luger holster mfg. by Auwaerter & Bubek in 1934. Rear of holster is marked "AUWAERTER & BUBEK/ A.G./ STUTTGART", followed by a droop eagle over "WaA101" acceptance proof and "1934". Holster is comprised of black leather, featuring a loading tool pouch, as well as a strap and provision for a cleaning rod on the interior of the closure flap. CONDITION: holster remains malleable, exhibiting some scattered marks from handling and storage, with a linear series of x4 small holes present on the closure flap, likely from a previously applied adornment. Closure flap strap exhibits age related cracking, but otherwise remains sound. Due to extensive use and attrition throughout the course of the war, these earlier holsters are less frequently encountered than the later wartime production examples, making this a nice example of a holster produced for the "K" date P.08 Luger. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of John Eckert. (02-26540-6/MLW). NON-GUN. $600-1000.
